Does TAVO work for heavy sleepers?
Yes. TAVO uses a powerful vibration motor designed to wake even heavy sleepers. If you don't enter light sleep during your wake-up window, TAVO automatically vibrates at your latest alarm time, so you'll never oversleep.
How does it know I'm in light sleep?
TAVO uses a patented method to monitor your micro wrist movements and detect your light sleep, so every wake-up is unique to your sleep cycle.
What if I'm still in deep sleep?
If you remain in deeper sleep throughout your wake-up window, TAVO won't keep waiting forever. It automatically vibrates at your latest alarm time, so you're always awake when you need to be.
Do I need my phone nearby?
No. Once you've synced your alarm to TAVO, it works independently through the night. Your phone can stay on your nightstand, in another room, or even in airplane mode. That means less screen time before bed, no phone in your hand when you wake up, and a calmer start to your morning.

FAQ's
What is the TAVO Alarm?
The TAVO Alarm is a reimagined "alarm clock" that works with your body's sleep cycle to wake you in your lightest part of your sleep. It's designed to help your body learn the best time to wake up, promoting deeper and more restful sleep.
Why is TAVO Silent?
TAVO is designed to provide a more natural and calm waking experience by being as quiet as possible and providing a calm and pleasant way to wake up. This way, waking up to a morning alarm is discrete and personal.
How does TAVO wake me up?
Instead of using sound, TAVO uses vibrations on a pressure point under your wrist to wake you, or rather signal to you that it is time to wake up (since you're already partially awake). A cool new experience for first timers.
How does the TAVO Alarm work?
The TAVO Alarm is designed to help you adapt to your natural sleep cycle, whether sleeping 4.5, 6, 7.5 hours. TAVO uses motion tracking to detect when your body is ready to wake up. This happens anywhere between 15-45 minutes before your wake-up time but ensures that you are waking when your body is naturally awake, making it easier to wake up and more importantly - feel rested.
What is a sleep cycle and why is it important to wake up during light sleep?
Humans sleep in 90-minute cycles. In those 90 minutes, we cycle through 4 stages: Non-Rapid Eye Movement (NREM) 1, 2 & 3, and Rapid Eye Movement (REM). NREM 1 and NREM 2 are known as light sleep, NREM 3 is deep sleep and REM is your dream sleep. Being awakened in deep or dream sleep leaves you feeling tired and groggy. This is because our brain undergoes essential processes while we sleep. When these processes are interrupted it can result in us waking up feeling what we call "groggy." Waking up in light sleep is when your body is most awake and when you will feel the best after waking up.
Can TAVO work in airplane mode?
Yes, once you set your TAVO you can turn off your phone or leave it in another room. This allows you to sleep & wake-up without your phone.
Why choose TAVO over traditional alarm clocks?
Traditional alarm clocks or phone alarms have no regard for our natural sleep cycle. Besides that, they rely on forcing us awake with loud sounds.
This is why we sometimes feel awfully tired & fatigued in the morning or snooze (which actually makes it worse). TAVO helps you sleep and wake-up according to your natural sleep cycle and only wakes you when your body is already naturally awake - in light sleep. This doesn't force your body awake rather makes every morning feel more rested.
Does TAVO work for heavy sleepers?
Your body is in deeper sleep during deep sleep and REM, which is why it's harder to wake up to any alarm. Since TAVO targets the lightest part of your sleep, the vibrations are a super effective yet calm way to wake you. Our users can attest to this.
